Player Management API
Player management APIs connect registration, account profiles and player status across the systems used by an iGaming business.
The integration in practice
The design starts with data ownership. Each service needs to know which system controls account identity, profile changes and restrictions.
Core interface requirements
- Account identifiers, profile fields and registration events.
- Authentication handoffs, session state and role-based access.
- Verification and responsible-gaming restriction flags where applicable.
- Audit events, privacy controls and synchronization error handling.
Sensitive player information is scoped for data minimization and access permissions, not copied indiscriminately between tools.
How this connection takes shape
These steps describe the technical questions to resolve. The final implementation and deliverables are defined from the actual systems involved.
Identify a source of truth
Decide which component creates the player ID, validates login and owns changes to profile, eligibility and restriction states.
Specify data-sharing rules
List the minimum fields each receiving service needs and how updates, deletions and revocations should be propagated.
Plan lifecycle recovery
Address duplicate registration attempts, account merges, locked accounts and failed synchronization between downstream services.
What we need to review
- Current registration and identity architecture
- Systems that need player profiles, sessions or restrictions
- Privacy, access and retention requirements defined by the operator
Acceptance cases to plan
- A restricted account cannot continue through an outdated downstream status.
- Repeated registration events resolve to a consistent account identity.
- A failed profile update is visible and recoverable without overwriting newer data.
Questions to resolve before delivery
Does this replace a CRM?
No. Player management controls account data and states; a CRM uses selected data and events for operational workflows.
Can existing player IDs be retained?
Often a mapping can be designed, but identity matching and migration safeguards depend on your existing data model.
Can we use single sign-on for connected products?
An SSO or token handoff can be assessed if the systems support compatible identity and session controls. Token audience and expiry matter.
What is the difference between player management and a wallet?
Player management owns identity and account state; a wallet owns monetary balances and postings. They interact, but should not be treated as one undifferentiated record.
